WHO ARE WE ?

The Montrose Foundation was established and registered as a PBO ( No.930030786 ) by the Graaff Family in 2008 and is breaking new ground with its leading-edge approach to address the challenges arising from substance abuse and addiction mostly in disadvantaged communities. The inclusion of horses is a unique approach to unlocking deep-rooted emotional trauma. The programme was then adapted to include the caregivers,
(social workers youth care workers and teachers) of these youth to equip and revitalise them in their calling working with youth as it was found that they too, in most cases, suffer from burnout and anxiety due to workloads.

‘’By attending one of the sessions of the Montrose Foundation Caregiver program, my colleagues and I was “blown away’’ and touched by the positive impact on the social workers. Being a social worker myself, I could identify with the challenges they experienced in their day-to-day work and I will certainly endorse this program.’’ (Eunice Ferndale: Department of Social Development, W C Ministerial official)
